The NJEA Delegate Assembly (DA) formulates Association policies. The DA includes 127 representatives proportionately elected from the counties for two-year terms. Each county is represented by its affiliated county association president plus one delegate for each 1 percent of the state total of active members of the Association. In addition, one delegate each represents retired, student, and administrative members who do not otherwise have the representation through normal channels. (NJEA Members VOTE for their delegates every April! The Delegate Assembly is like our union’s “parliament”.)
Only the elected BCEA Delegate Assembly members and their alternates are required to attend this meeting to discuss the upcoming NJEA DA Meeting. This meeting typically starts directly AFTER the BCEA Representative Council Meeting at “about” 5:30/6:00 PM.
All NJEA Members MUST bring their NJEA Membership Card to events.
Only elected Delegate Assembly members need to attend. Please pay attention to our social media to confirm if the caucus is “in person” or “virtual”.
