BCEA Legislative Action Team

EVERY Local should send one representative and additional “associate” LAT’s are welcome to attend.

What is my role as a member of my county LAT?
Inform members of your local about: Education issues pending before the State Legislature and the U.S. Congress, NJEA’s positions on educational issues, How your local legislators and congressmen voted or plan to vote on important issues, Candidates recommended by NJEA PAC, Encourage members of your local to write, call, phone, fax and e-mail elected officials on important educational issues, Encourage members of your local to support NJEA PAC-endorsed candidates, Encourage members to voluntarily contribute to NJEA PAC, and Help elected officials understand the impact of their decisions on the public schools in their district.

Reminder: NJEA Members MUST ALWAYS carry their NJEA Membership Card when attending NJEA/BCEA events.

We also encourage LAT Members to donate to the NJEA PAC and encourage other members to do the same.
